One of the biggest benefits of Monticello West is that our residents can move throughout their journey in familiar surroundings. A resident can start in independent living and begin receiving assisted living or memory care without ever having to leave their
apartment. Home is home no matter what level of care they end up needing. We truly believe in the importance of aging in place, which is why we tailor our support to the changing needs of our residents without uprooting them from their familiar surroundings.
Not only is Monticello West a great place to live, but it is a great place to work. Recently, Monticello West achieved Holleran Consulting’s 2018 Choice Community Award for Employee Engagement. Based off the survey findings, our associates believe they have
the opportunity to do what they do best; and that is care for our residents and make a difference in their lives. This drives them to deliver the best service and care for our residents. We take pride that many team members have worked at our community for many years and residents build long-lasting relationships with staff and enjoy the continuity of care.
The Jefferson Bridge offers assisted living residents easy access to memory care support services and programming without the need to relocate to our memory care community. This can be an ideal solution for seniors who are still able to perform many of the activities of daily living, but who could benefit from cognitive, social and physical stimulation. Or, for senior couples who now find themselves with varying levels of memory care needs. True Understanding of a Life of the Caregiver Josie Winland, Executive Director of Monticello West, can relate to the struggles of a caregiver. She herself cared for her father who suffered from dementia. She has taken her experience and empathy for the caregiver and developed programs that she wanted for her father when he was a resident. She also offers a monthly support group and shares her personal and professional experience with family members.
